The Antigua Charter Show is famous for the laidback charm, exceptional entertainment and challenging Concours de Chef. The 2019 edition, for the 20th anniversary of the show, exceeded the expectations, with over 25 chefs competing in 3 different categories, based on yacht sizes.

Each chef had to prepare different courses, without overarching themes, unlike the previous years. Shoreside Support sponsored the Caviar to be used in the first course. The main course was a choice of protein prepared in three different fashion. While the dessert based on tropical fruits was also to be prepared in three different ways. Each chef had just 30 minutes to present the courses to the judges.

Chef Tom Nicholas, for M/Y Eminence, placed in third in this competition, just after M/Y Rock It and M/Y Okto. The pinnacle of the show, however, was our stewardess Sarah Pitchford claiming first in the Yachts 160ft and Over category
